Sacrament of Eucharist

Each time we gather at mass, we follow the command of Jesus – ‘Do this in remembrance of me’. We take bread and wine, present them to the altar and pray that the Holy Spirit transforms them into the true and everlasting body and blood of Jesus. This is a true mystery of our faith; we cannot understand this with our human intellect, but only through faith.

We prepare our children to celebrate this sacrament by introducing them to God and helping them connect their own lived experiences with the persons of the Trinity. We help them understand that Jesus gave us this sacrament in order that we might live out our lives in service to others, just as he did.
