Pilgrimage & Prayer Vigil for
World Day of Migrants & Refugees
The Catholic faithful will be sent forth from various parishes after Sunday Mass to make a pilgrimage (walking, biking, or driving) to the site of our communal prayer vigil, St. Pius V Catholic Church, in solidarity with immigrants and refugees. As pilgrims travel from their home parish to the gathering site near Grand Blvd and Utah St. on the front steps/sidewalk of St. Pius, they will carry signs and otherwise display visible support and welcome for our immigrant neighbors. Upon arrival at St. Pius, each group of pilgrims will be welcomed. When all pilgrim groups have arrived, a communal prayer and reflection will be shared. Those who wish to remain and continue to bear witness on Grand Blvd are welcome to do so.
Members of St. Cronan’s will have a special rite of sending at the conclusion of the 10am Mass and process together (by car, bike or walking, as you are able) to St. Pius V.
